In order to address separation requirements of different compounds, YMC offers two different HIC columns, BioPro HIC HT and BioPro HIC BF. They both have in common their non-porous polymethacrylate particle, while their properties and chromatographic behaviours are quite different.

In this application note the retention behaviour of BioPro HIC HT and BioPro HIC BF columns is compared by separating two commercial monoclonal antibodies from each other. As BioPro HIC HT is designed for the analysis of biopharmaceuticals, it is the first choice for ADCs or MAbs. It provides high resolution with very fast runs and therefore high throughput. BioPro HIC BF columns show a stronger retention due to their higher hydrophobicity. They can therefore be used for the separation of low hydrophobic proteins or especially for the analysis of oxidised MAbs.

Please download YMC’s BioLC catalogue or visit our homepage to receive more information on YMC’s HIC columns.
