better-faster-more-reliable

Steam and water jacketed rectangular chamber autoclaves deliver faster sterilizing processes and drier loads more quickly. Models available from dedicated British autoclave manufacturer Priorclave include a choice of variety of chambers capacities from 230 to 350L (two hand wheels) and 400 to 700L (three hand wheels).

The popularity of this style of front-loading autoclave is due to its exceptionally large, rectangular sterilizing chamber, making it extremely suitable for laboratories undertaking high-volume throughputs.

All rectangular models are fitted with a large hand-wheel closure system for safe and easy opening/closing of the robust hinged door. A built-in safety feature of this closure system is the thermal and pressure locks, which prevent the door from opening at load temperature above 80°C and pressures above 0.2 bar, thus averting potential accidents through the discharge of hot pressurized steam.

Priorclave’s SMART range is ideal for handling the many demanding sterilizing applications within food and drink, dairy, pharmaceutical, agriculture, education, healthcare and research laboratories. Being faster to heat up and faster to cool, and with a relatively small footprint allowing some of the smaller labs to have the highest capacity and performance steam autoclaves available.

The SMART range of large chamber autoclaves incorporates many of the popular features requested over many years by customers, now included as standard, such as built-in cooling, freestreaming, drain protection, air-intake filtration, and USB connector as standard.

As with all current Priorclave laboratory and research grade autoclaves, rectangular chamber autoclaves also feature Priorclave’s Tactrol®3 process controller, which ensures that everything from simple cycles to fully feature multi-program sterilizing operations with printed records can be achieved at the press of a button. Settings and programming of functions are accessed through a keypad and displayed on the high-resolution LCD panel, the display is purposely not touchscreen, this has significant advantages in the laboratory since adjustments can be made and processes checked without the need to remove protective gloves.

As with all Priorclave’s models, exterior surfaces feature an anti-microbial finish which is highly effective at providing life-long control of harmful bacteria, as well as protection against the threat of cross-contamination. This coating reduces bacterial growth by up to 99.99% and is highly effective against MRSA, E. coli, Listeria, Legionella, Campylobacter and Salmonella.

To find out if a steam and water jacketed rectangular chamber autoclave is the right choice, or if the more economical and water-efficient non-jacketed cylindrical chamber autoclave would be a better fit for your needs, contact Priorclave today.
