Powerful performance, tiny footprint

The smallest autoclave in Priorclave’s extensive range is their impressive 40-litre Benchtop, making it extremely easy to incorporate into any work environment.

Ideal as an additional autoclave for industrious laboratories requiring a space-efficient solution to deal with very demanding mediums rapidly, or researcher seeking a cost-effective low-volume solution to their diverse sterilisation and autoclave needs.

Measuring just 64cm high by 52cm wide, and 61cm deep, allowing it to easily fit on any standard countertop or workbench. Its 13A plug allows it to be plugged straight into the nearest standard single-phase consumer electric supply socket. Despite the ease and simplicity of installation, this diminutive Priorclave Benchtop retains all the features and functionality you’d expect from their popular full-sized autoclaves.

A vacuum option is also available and is supplied fitted to all SMART benchtop models, which only widens the standard Benchtop model slightly, by 17.5cm. During pre-cycle, this additional functionality can ensure that air is removed from difficult loads, ensuring even greater steam penetration. Whilst post-cycle vacuuming can greatly accelerate cooling and reduce condensation onto the load when used in combination with chamber wall heating. This results in load processing on par with many of Priorclave’s other full-sized SMART autoclaves, and increases the benchtop's versatility.

For laboratories that require a larger chamber, without sacrificing too much space lab space, there is Priorclave’s 60-litre Benchtop model. It retains all the features and functionality of the 40-litre benchtop, including the option of a vacuum on the SMART version. Even the height and width of the 60-litre benchtop remain the same as that of the 40-litre benchtop! Where the 60-litre Benchtop differs is that it is deeper, facilitating a larger internal capacity.

As one would expect with any Priorclave autoclave, every benchtop is fitted with their exclusive Tactrol®3 control unit, providing authorised users with full command of all processing variables, whilst remaining fully gloved. Every benchtop model also features a quick-seal single-action door that is fitted with both thermal and pressure locks to prevent rapid opening at load temperatures above 80°C and pressures above 0.2 bar to ensure lab safety. Biomaster™, an anti-bacterial silver nano-technology, is also incorporated into all epoxy coated surfaces, providing effective long-term defence against bacteria and fungi, including MRSA. This coating also reduces the risk of microbial growth, helping to reduce the risk of cross-contamination, and supports laboratory hygiene standards between cleans.

With so many variables to consider, regarding load types and appropriate treatments, it is impossible to predict precisely how much water will be used during a Benchtop's regular use, however, on average with a condensate bottle exhaust, a Benchtop will typically consume as little as half a litre of water per cycle. Further reinforcing the Benchtop's cost-effectiveness. Creating such a water and energy-efficient autoclave in such a small package clearly illustrates Priorclave’s commitment to producing high-quality research-grade laboratory equipment that is robust, reliable, yet surprisingly affordable.
