Lab Innovations Announces New Partnership with British Measurement and Testing Association
Lab Innovations has signed a new partnership with the British Measurement and Testing Association (BMTA).
As part of the deal, the BMTA will run a paid-for conference at Lab Innovations 2015, which returns to Birmingham’s NEC on 4 & 5 November 2015.
The BMTA represents the interests of the measurement and testing industry in the UK and in Europe, while Lab Innovations, as the UK’s only show dedicated to the latest laboratory technology and consumables, analytics and biotech equipment, features the latest testing and measurement equipment and know-how.
The BMTA conference, held on the second day of the show, will focus on Metrology. There will be presentations on developments at UKAS, BMTA and EUROLAB, before the delegates are divided into two workshops. One will cover dimensional metrology and advanced engineering, while the second will focus on laboratory-based topics. Speakers from UKAS and other organisations will lead the sessions covering measurement uncertainty, traceability and verification and validation.
Commenting on the partnership with BMTA, Katie Crocombe, Lab Innovations Event Manager said: “We’re thrilled to be working with the BMTA for 2015. Their involvement offers another element for visitors to the show and illustrates just how quickly Lab Innovations has grown as a hub for all those involved with the UK lab community.
“It will be brilliant for our attendees involved in testing and measurement to have access to even more powerful content and will enable them to network with their peers and colleagues from the BMTA.”
The BMTA joins other leading organisations the RSC and Campden BRI which are also both on board providing educational and practical conference programmes at Lab Innovations 2015.
The show is also on target to have its largest ever exhibitor base, with over 110 companies already booked for the event, with five months still to go. These include first time exhibitors, Scientific Laboratory Supplies, Bambi Air Compressors, Eppendorf UK, Falcon Scientific, Radleys, Ohaus and Zinsser Analytic. These will join major returning names such as Anton Paar, Buchi UK, Mettler Toledo, Oxford Biosystems Cadama, Retsch UK, Sympatec and Vacuubrand.
Katie Crocombe concludes: “2015 is going to be a pivotal year for Lab Innovations, with more content than ever before. With BMTA, our educational content offers yet another dynamic component to the existing on-floor content.’
Lab Innovations 2015 will be held on the 4 & 5 November 2015 at Birmingham’s NEC.
