ESSLAB Takes the Crown at the Lions
ESSLAB were crowned champions at this year’s Lions’ Lair, which took place at Lab Innovations 2015.
The company impressed this year’s panel of judges, beating off strong competition from Asynt, Falcon Scientific and Eppendorf UK.
The panel of Lions’ included Phillip Broadwith, Business Editor of Chemistry World Magazine, Dr Roy Betts, Head of Microbiology at Campden BRI and Denny Tarnovska, Web Editor of Lab News.
ESSLAB took to the stage third to pitch its pioneering product, the MicroLab-Gravimetric Dosing System (GDS), which has revolutionised how laboratories work to be compliant with procedures. It provides precision and accuracy in analytical data, without the need for volumetric glassware.
Cliff Marshall, Managing Director at ESSLAB comments on the triumph: “Lab Innovations 2015 was the UK launch pad for our GDS and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to unveil our innovation. It’s great to be positively recognised and we are really pleased with the victory in Lions’ Lair. This product symbolises a change in the way people will work in laboratories and we are thrilled to be able to bring this to market. Everyone is looking for confidence in analytical data and that is exactly what our product provides.”
Daniel Gray, Lab Innovations Event Manager commented: “Lions’ Lair has once again exceeded all of our expectations, demonstrating some of the most innovative laboratory technology and equipment on the market. This is such a great opportunity for organisations to launch their new products and really highlight all of those fantastic features they have to offer. There was some tough competition this year, but we couldn’t be happier for ESSLAB, this year’s champion!”
Lions’ Lair was just one of Lab Innovations 2015 highly anticipated show features. The show also had major names, such as Prof. Mark Miodownik and Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock, hosting keynote sessions live on the show floor. There was also plenty of educational content offer, including theatres run by ELRIG, the British Measurement and Testing Association, The Royal Society of Chemistry and Campden BRI.
The next Lab Innovations show will take place on 2 & 3 November 2016 at the NEC, Birmingham.
