SciMed to share insight into the equipment and techniques that are helping the lab industry become more sustainable at this year’s Lab Innovations

The UK’s largest distributor of scientific instrumentation, SciMed will exhibit at this year’s Lab Innovations and share insight into some of the latest innovative instruments for researchers in industry and academia, including supercritical CO2 systems and environmental analysers. To meet SciMed’s team and hear about some of the innovative instruments it supplies in person, visit stand K32 at Lab Innovations on November 2 and 3 at the NEC, Birmingham.

At Lab Innovations 2022, SciMed will share insight into instrumentation and analysis equipment for chemical processing applications, such as supercritical CO2 systems and ultrasonic processing equipment. It’s team can also help with chemical analysis applications, such as environmental analysers, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and discuss material properties instruments, such as electrochemistry and electron microscopy instruments.

Paul Vanden Branden, director and product manager at SciMed, explained, “At this year’s Lab Innovations, we will speak to new and existing customers about the state-of-the-art lab equipment that is helping the industry become more sustainable. It is doing this by reducing the use of utilities and eliminating the need for toxic chemicals in experiments. For example, super critical CO2 systems that allow scientists to perform separations and extractions without using hexane.

It is a great opportunity to hear from customers in person, so we can fully understand their requirements and operational situations and work with them to deliver solutions that meet their needs.”

At Lab Innovations 2021, SciMed was the winner of the show’s best stand award for its use of space, full stand team and the fun addition of a skalextric track. Speaking at the show, Adam Rucklidge, director and product manager at SciMed, commented, “We come to Lab Innovations every year and, in fact, it’s probably our most important show of the year. We meet a lot of our existing customers here and always find new people to talk to as well.”
