The 6850 UV/visible spectrophotometer is Jenway’s first double-beam instrument with a variable spectral bandwidth – of 5nm down to 0.5nm.

6850-PRThis new instrument has highly stable optics and is particularly well-suited for use in laboratories where compliance to multiple regulatory agencies is required.

The double beam optics and two detectors measure the sample and reference simultaneously for optimum measurement accuracy and stability over long periods of time. The 6850 has a variable spectral bandwidth of 0.5nm, 1nm, 2nm, 4nm and 5nm, giving flexibility whilst ensuring compliance to European Pharmacopeia requirements. The narrow spectral bandwidth ensures improved resolution.

An integrated user interface provides full control of the instrument so there is no need to buy a PC to run the spectrophotometer. However, Jenway Prism PC control software is included as standard, introducing functionality such as greater data storage and additional post-measurement tools.

Designed for quality control, research and routine applications in life science, materials science and the pharmaceutical industry, the Jenway 6850 spectrophotometer offers multiple measurement modes for photometrics, concentration, multi-wavelength, spectrum scanning, kinetics, quantitation, DNA/RNA and protein analysis.

To complement the 6850 Jenway offer an extensive range of accessories including an automatic 8 cell changer. From February Jenway will be launching some new accessories including a combined sipper and temperature control system.
