Wide range of analytical instrumentation on show
Lambda Advanced Technology will have an impressive range of analytical instrumentation and sample preparation equipment on show at the Lab Innovations show.
UV/Vis and fluorescence spectrophotometers, the TM3030 tabletop electron microscope and a dedicated water determination system will be complemented by microwave and pressure digestion sample preparation systems.
The U-5100 and U-3900 UV/Vis spectrophotometers cover a multitude of applications from routine analysis to research. The U-5100 is a compact ratio-beam spectrophotometer offering long-term measurement stability combined with fast sample throughput thanks to its 6-cell changer. The U-3900 is a versatile double beam instrument that can be configured for liquid or solid samples. A double monochromator version is available for the most demanding applications. The F-2700 is a flexible rapid scan fluorescence instrument that has applications from teaching up to research.
The TM3030 is the 3rd generation of Hitachi tabletop electron microscopes with over 100 installations in the UK alone and with use in life science, materials science and a host of other applications. Characterised by its ease of use and the fact that no special sample preparation is required, the TM3030 gives even better resolution, which is especially useful for the 5 kV mode of operation. Imaging at 5 kV reveals more surface detail and can be used for both topographic and composition imaging. The addition of an energy dispersive X-Ray analyser adds compositional (elemental) analysis, even further enhancing the microscope’s capabilities.
The easyWater (easyH2O) analyser is a chemical-free system for the specific determination of water in materials such as plastics, catalysts, pharmaceuticals, building materials and many more. Using a proven thermo-coulometric measurement method, the easyWater system can differentiate between different binding phases of water ranging from free surface and capillary water to chemically bound water.
Also on show will be the MWS-4 microwave digestion system and the DAB- and DAB-3 pressure digestion vessels for the safe and effective digestion of solid samples. This is an important process in sample preparation for analysis by techniques such as ICP-AES, ICP-MS, AAS or polarography.
