TecMicroscopes in conjunction with Mazurek Optical Services, suppliers of the Microtec range of light microscopes and accessories, is pleased to announce multiple sales into academic institutions
across the UK.
TecMicroscopes and its principle sales partner, Mazurek Optical Services are very pleased to announce the installation of three new suites of microscopes to UK universities and schools. Mazurek's excellent service and support record as noted as doing "an excellent job, so promptly and so efficiently" by Marta Salamonowicz, Research Administrator at the UCL Prostate Cancer Research Centre, backed by the high level of optical performance at an economical price of Microtec has been the basis of these sales.
At Winchester College, twenty of the PM-3 advanced biological student microscopes were delivered to Mandy Cochrane and her team in the biology department while Sue Thomsett's team in the Faculty of Health & Science at Coventry University have taken delivery of ten of the LM-1 advanced biological research microscopes. The biology department at Tonbridge School has also purchased microscopes from Mazurek Optical Services having had six 10x-30x HM2-BT stereomicroscopes installed on incident and transmitted light stands. Again positive comments from Helen Draper and her colleagues have been received underscoring the success of these excellent microscopes.
The range of microscopes from Microtec has recently been extended to include the HM-4 stereomicroscope. The choice of objectives and eyepieces, combined with the 6.4:1 zoom optics, enable a range of magnification from 3.5x to 270x to be achieved. The microscope can be fitted to any of the extensive range of Microtec stands. Shown here on a new stand, it has LED lighting. The built-in power supply will operate either a conventional oblique lamp unit of an LED ring light for shadow-free illumination. The zoom control incorporates both click stops, to enable precise magnifications to be easily located, and a zoom lock.
