Appearing for the first time at a UK show will be the Techne Combi-Block, for use with Prime thermal cyclers, and the Jenway Genova Nano spectrophotometer. Techne introduced the new Combi-Block for its widely used Prime Thermal Cycler range earlier this year. The Combi-Block holds up to 33 tubes of 0.2 ml or 0.5 ml volumes, and offers an optional 25°C temperature gradient spread over its 11 columns. The provision of wells of different sizes means that a variety of consumables can be accommodated, making the Combi-Block a practical and convenient solution for laboratories with a range of different cycling requirements....

Ammonia is on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) list of toxic compounds in tobacco smoke.
