UK-based flow chemistry engineering specialists Vapourtec has extended the capabilities of its R-Series system with a new addition to its range of pump modules.

The R2-S pump module is a special self priming, suspension / slurry capable version that is ideal for organometallic reagents, metering gases and strong acids such as fuming Nitric Acid and can be added to an existing two pump arrangement to deliver enhanced capability.

Vapourtec MD Duncan Guthrie commented: "At the heart of the R2-S is our V-3 precision peristaltic pump which features advanced control and is capable of handling strong acids, bases and organometallic reagents as well as a range of gases and generates a smooth output flow across the full pressure range.

"Nearly 200 of the V-3 pumps are in daily use in labs around the world and its capability to pump organometallic reagents has been well documented in peer reviewed publications.

"We launched the R-Series in 2007 and it has since gone on to become one of the world's leading flow chemistry systems. The addition of the R2-S pump module significantly increases the potential of the R-Series," added Duncan.
