In a study published in the European Journal of Parenteral Sciences*, a survey comparing an alternative solution with that of Dycem's CleanZone product showed Dycem saved 18 tonnes less in raw materials, three million MJ of energy during manufacture and use as well as reducing greenhouse gases by over 120 tonnes. The alternative peel-off mat produces 29 times the waste compared to Dycem creating an environmental disposal problem of its own while 85% of Dycem materials are recyclable.
