The 15th European Microscopy Congress

Free entry to Europe's largest ever exhibition dedicated to microscopy

The 15th European Microscopy CongressDo you ever use a microscope in your work? If so, there are a number of reasons why you will benefit from visiting this very special exhibition.

The scale of the international conference has encouraged microscope and imaging companies from around the world to put extra effort into bringing a wider range of products than ever before.

We'd hate you to miss this opportunity to visit the largest event ever held in Britain.

You may think you know which microscopes or imaging equipment are suitable for your work, but this event could make you think again. Nowhere in Europe will you be able to see such a range of today's scientific equipment. And nowhere in Europe will you be able to talk and discuss your needs with so many manufacturers.

The Congress comes to the UK only once every 30 - 40 years. Come and spend a day with us. It could make a big difference to your decision-making in the future.

You can also broaden your understanding of the latest equipment and techniques. We have free manufacturer-workshops each day where you can hear how the newest leading edge scientific instruments work.

If you are new to microscopy and want to learn about specimen preparation, or the fundamentals of imaging and microscopy, then we have our very own Learning Zone. This is a fully-equipped teaching and learning facility that is unbiased and run by expert-users not salespeople. It's the perfect opportunity for you to ask and learn. And, yes, it's free to all visitors.

The exhibition will have more than 100 manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and consumables for light, electron and scanning probe microscopy, plus spectroscopy and cytometry. The exhibitors will play a huge role in making your visit worthwhile, and the effort and logistics of getting high-end, high-value equipment set-up and working should not be under estimated.

"Exhibitions such as emc2012 provide many challenges for companies, but they also provide unmatched opportunities for us to meet with researchers and to discuss their needs with them," said Rod Shipley, Chair of the Royal Microscopical Society's Corporate Advisory Board. "Of course, companies are there to promote their range, but delegates and visitors should not forget that the people that man the stands have a real passion for microscopy. I would encourage all visitors to engage with these people and to provide the feedback that will lead to even better products being available in the future."

Make sure that you take up this challenge by being in Manchester in September. We look forward to seeing you there.

The 15th European Microscopy Congress is organised by the Royal Microscopical Society. It opens on Sunday 16th September. The conference and exhibition run from Monday to Friday. For opening times, and details of all the features of the event, check the website www.emc2012.org.uk/
