The MB23 and MB25 Incorporate State-of-the-Art Heating and Weighing Technologies, Providing Fast and Accurate Results for Any Budget

PINE BROOK, N.J., (2009) – OHAUS Corporation, a leading manufacturer of balances for laboratory, industrial, and specialty markets worldwide, announces two new high-value additions to the OHAUS MB Series of moisture analyzers, the MB23 and MB25. Requiring minimal set-up for easy operation, the new MB Series are highly affordable additions ideal for operators of all skill levels on any budget.

Efficiency and ease of operation are primary features for both the MB23 and MB25. To use, an operator must simply press and hold the temperature or time buttons to set drying parameters, add a sample, and press start to begin the test process. The analyzers will automatically heat, measure and display the results of the operation. Both analyzers also feature a compact footprint, designed to take up little space, and an easy-to-clean heating chamber that is ideal for frequent use and inexpensive maintenance.

The MB23 utilizes an infrared heating element and provides test results at 0.1 percent resolution, while the MB25 employs an extremely fast halogen heating source and displays results at 0.05 percent resolution. Both the MB23 and MB25 are ideal for textiles, wastewater, ceramics and food, and include a large backlit display and standard RS232 port. The two moisture analyzers both have 110 g capacity, but vary in repeatability (10 g sample), with the MB23 featuring 0.2 percent repeatability and MB25 boasting 0.05 percent repeatability. .

Other standard features for both products include an adjustable heating range heat range of 50 degrees Celsius to 160 degrees Celsius (in five-degree increments), a manual, timed or auto shut-off, display results in percent moisture, percent solids, actual weight, time and temperature, English display language, sample pan holder (MB25), 50 sample pans, fiber pad, and in-use cover. Both products come with a one-year warranty.
