(ATL) will host an informational webcast on February 24, 2010 on the topic of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).  This webcast is entitled "Considerations for Selecting a LIMS for Your Laboratory".  This event is ideal for lab operations or QA/QC managers in the following industries: environmental (air/water/soil), agriculture, manufacturing (material/product testing), food & beverage, water & wastewater, biotechnology and public health.

In this webcast, ATL will provide a primer for those laboratories interested in implementing, upgrading or replacing their LIMS.  System features and functionality obviously are important when conducting a product evaluation but ATL will also discuss the following important factors when making a decision:

• The value of a needs assessment or gap analysis

• The pros and cons of bringing in a LIMS consultant
• Putting it all together to make the right decision

As an added bonus, ATL will also have one of their current customers discuss their own LIMS implementation experience and take questions from webcast attendees.  This will be a great opportunity to learn about potential LIMS evaluation best practices and how to avoid those gotchas.
