Veolia Water Technologies has launched its mobile water services offering to the pharmaceutical, cosmetics and life science industries across Europe.

This initiative provides a comprehensive range of technologies and services bundled as a rental service to deliver reliable, uninterrupted and sustainable solutions for manufacturing, cleaning, and complex liquid waste treatment for compliant offsite management.

For purified water (PW) and cold water for injection (WFI), Veolia deploys Orion™ and Ionpro™ multi-technology units while the Polaris™ is available for apyrogenic pure steam. These units deliver water and pure steam for a variety of applications which are compliant with both European and US Pharmacopeia as well as FDA, cGMP and GAMP requirements.

For complex waste streams containing solvents and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), Evaled™ evaporation and MPP™ liquid-to-liquid extraction technologies can recover valuable resources and reduce offsite waste disposal, minimising environmental impact of these waste streams in a cost-effective way.

The units can be operated independently or together. This service is available for both short-term (weeks to months) or as a longer-term permanent solution (several years) as an alternative or to complement a fixed plant.

As a leader in ecological transformation Veolia is committed to optimising resources and reducing waste across all operations in line with the ambitions set out in our GreenUp 24-27 strategic plan. Our units are designed to maximise water recovery,  minimise energy consumption and incorporate a high percentage of recyclable materials. Our rental scheme includes end-of-life management, ensuring responsible reuse of materials. This comprehensive approach underscores Veolia's commitment to sustainable practices throughout our operations.

Veolia Water Technologies’ mobile services support businesses through various scenarios that would previously have had significant financial and operational impacts. This may include periods of water scarcity, a failure of existing water treatment technology, increased demand or new drug development. The rental of a mobile unit provides a trouble-free water treatment solution with servicing, spare parts and consumables supplied by the provider. Environmental compliance and live system monitoring can also be facilitated through Veolia Water Technologies’ industry-leading technical expertise.

Mark Dyson, Vice President of mobile business for Veolia Water Technologies, states: “Our output performance-based service optimises both the quality and quantity of treated water delivered while helping manage complex wastewater to meet production and compliance needs responsibly and without disruption. Customers benefit from expert water resource management without CAPEX investment, relying on our expertise in compliance and environmental impact reduction.”
