Significant breakthroughs in medical research rely heavily on data collected from post-mortem procedures and subsequent in-depth laboratory analysis.

To support this highly specialised work, Nottingham-based Scientific Laboratory Supplies Ltd (SLS) has recently launched a new range of pathology and mortuary products for use by forensic and histopathologists as well as by mortuary professionals.

It is estimated that 33 percent of death certificates fail to list the correct cause of death and may be the result of a drop in the number of consented post-mortem examinations carried out with permission when there is uncertainty about a natural death.
