New Planetary Ball Mill Streamlines Sample Pulverization

publication date: Sep 13, 2023
author/source: Retsch GmbH

RETSCH’s latest addition to their extensive ball mill range, the Planetary Ball Mill PM 300, is equipped with advanced features to streamline daily lab work.

The PM 300 has a maximum speed of 800 rpm, generating high energy for fast sample pulverization down to the nanometer range. The benchtop unit accommodates up to 4 stackable grinding jars, allowing for processing up to 440 ml of sample material in one run.

Safety is a top priority with the PM 300, featuring a robust Safety Slider preventing the mill from starting before the grinding jar is securely fixed with the ergonomic clamping unit. This planetary ball mill features an acoustic signal and notification in the display when the clamping unit is fixed with the required force of 25 Nm; a clamping aid is available for added convenience.

The PM 300 is operated with the new EasyFit grinding jar line, featuring Advanced Anti-Twist functionality and modified geometry of the 50 ml and 250 ml jars for faster grinding results.
