The Determination of Mercury in Foods
Teledyne Leeman Labs' Hydra-C (Direct Mercury Analyzer) provides a fast, simple and convenient approach for the measurement of mercury in foods without any sample pretreatment. Apart from the significant time savings of the approach, it also eliminates the need for hazardous chemicals and eliminates the production of associated hazardous wastes.
The analytical approach employed with Hydra-C is supported by EPA Method 7473 which is approved for both laboratory and field analysis for mercury in solids and liquids using Thermal Decomposition Amalgamation and Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy.
Typical applications of the Hydra-C Mercury Analyzer are: Animal Tissues, Tobacco, Food byproducts, Marine Tissues and Vegetation.
