SP Scientific Receives Major Order for ThermoJet ES Temperature Cycling Systems
SP Scientific has signed a volume purchase agreement with Silicon Turnkey Solutions (STS) to supply multiple ThermoJet ES (Environment Simulator) temperature cycling systems.
Temperature cycling using the ThermoJet ES is a proven method used to rapidly assess the reliability of semiconductor products. A product which is alternately heated and cooled stresses any component that has a thermal expansion mismatch. The ThermoJet ES system provides a source of precisely controlled hot and cold air that can be used for rapidly testing components, hybrids, modules, PCBs, and assemblies.
Zef Malik, Chief Executive Officer of STS commented: "After spending a considerable amount of time assessing and evaluating similar offerings, we are very pleased to have selected the ThermoJet ES from SP Scientific. We are very confident of its quality and performance, and ability to deliver precise and repeatable results. We have chosen this specialized equipment to enable much extended temperature ranges, improved cycle time, and guaranteed DUT level testing for our highly-advanced product line customers. This system performs multiple temperatures testing through single insertions, and offers superior compliance to thermal requirements to cater to our high-reliability customers."
Cindy Reiter, Director of Marketing & Thermal Management Equipment at SP Scientific commented, "We are delighted to have reached an agreement with STS to supply them with ThermoJet ES systems. The ThermoJet ES is the only temperature cycling air system that utilizes a dual stage cascade refrigeration system. This enables it to deliver the highest cooling capacity, heat removal, and reliability on the market. Compact and completely self-contained, the ThermoJet ES requires no external cooling source such as liquid Carbon Dioxide or Nitrogen. Using standard, off-the-shelf, environmentally friendly refrigerants, the system reduces downtime and saves on maintenance costs."
