Malvern Instruments sponsors UK Colloids 2011
Malvern
Instruments is a major sponsor for UK Colloids 2011, a new
international colloid and surface science symposium that takes place in
London, UK, from 4-6 July. The event, jointly organized by the Royal
Society of Chemistry (RSC) Colloid and Interface Science Group and the
Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) Colloid and Surface Science Group, is
an opportunity for researchers to discuss current issues in the field.
Scientists from Malvern will take an active role in the conference
itself and part of Malvern's support for the meeting includes
sponsorship of the poster prize.
Dr Samiul Amin, Strategic Technology Group Manager, Malvern Instruments, will chair the session ‘Characterization of Colloids and Complex Fluids', focusing on the latest advances across the field of colloidal and complex fluid systems. Dr Jason Corbett, and Dr Carlos Rega, both Senior Development Scientists, will each present work highlighting the important role of the Zetasizer Nano dynamic light scattering (DLS) system in colloid research.
The Zetasizer Nano from Malvern Instruments uses light scattering techniques to measure electrophoretic mobility, zeta potential, as well as particle size and molecular weight. For further information, please visit www.malvern.com/zetasizer.
