Dolomite excels with unique customization project

flow cells.jpgRoyston, UK (8th April 2010) - Dolomite has extensive experience in material processing and is unique in combining traditional manufacturing techniques with micro-engineering expertise. Through an in-depth understanding and innovative exploitation of material properties that are important for micro-scale experimentation, Dolomite has developed and manufactured a range of standard and customized flow cells for chemical analysis.

Produced to high-quality standards, the flow cells are composed of quartz or optical glass to combine low thermal expansion and improved chemical resistance with additional optical properties such as homogeneity and high UV transmission. In addition to custom flow cells, Dolomite also develops and supplies integrated solutions including custom fluidic interconnects, detectors and complete instrument systems to meet the needs of any application.

Dolomite has recently developed bespoke multi-channel flow cells, with chamber volumes of less than 10µl. Subsequent Raman water testing identified them as excellent quality. Providing world leading thermal bonding processes, high-precision borings and cavities, excellent wet etchings, and a variety of deposited coatings, Dolomite is able to push the boundaries of traditional manufacturing processes, to meet all custom requirements.

For further information on the complete range of microfluidic products available from Dolomite, including chips, connectors/interconnects, pumps, valves and flow sensors, please visit www.dolomite-microfluidics.com.
