BioVision Introduces Three New Assay Kits: HDAC1, HDAC2 & HDAC3 Immunoprecipitation & Activity Kits

The only Kits on the market for both IP and measuring activity of HDAC1, HDAC2 & HDAC3 respectively.

BioVisionEukaryotic transcriptional regulation is strongly influenced by the post-translational modification of histones. The balance of histone acetylation and deacetylation plays a critical role in this regulation. Histone acetylation induced by histone acetyl transferases (HATs) is associated with gene transcription, while histone hypoacetylation induced by histone deacetylase (HDAC) activity is associated with gene silencing. Altered expression and mutations of genes that encode HDACs have been linked to tumor development since they induce the aberrant transcription of key genes regulating important cellular functions such as cell proliferation, cell-cycle regulation and apoptosis. Thus, HDACs are among the most promising therapeutic targets for cancer treatment, and they have inspired researchers to study them extensively.

HDAC1 Immunoprecipitation (IP) & Activity Assay Kit

Catalog # K342-25 -25 assays

This kit provides an antibody-based method to specifically immunoprecipitate the HDAC1 complex and to measure its activity fluorometrically. HDAC1 is immunoprecipitated using HDAC1 antibody and captured on protein-A/G beads. This HDAC can deacetylate the HDAC substrate, which is cleaved by the developer to produce a fluorophore.

Key features and Benefits of the kit:

  • Compatible with cell, nuclear and tissue extracts from human, mouse and rat.
  • Ideal tool for measuring activity of immunoprecipitated complex/purified enzyme.
  • Ideal tool for screening activators or inhibitors of HDAC1.
  • Fluorimetric detection

HDAC2 Immunoprecipitation (IP) & Activity Assay Kit

Catalog # K341-25 -25 assays

This kit provides an antibody-based method to specifically immunoprecipitate the HDAC2 complex and to measure its activity fluorometrically. HDAC2 is immunoprecipitated using HDAC2 antibody and captured on protein-A/G beads. This HDAC2 can deacetylate the HDAC2 substrate, which is cleaved by the developer to produce a fluorophore.

Key features and Benefits of the kit:

  • Compatible with cell, nuclear and tissue extracts from human, mouse and rat.
  • Ideal tool for measuring activity of immunoprecipitated complex/purified enzyme.
  • Ideal tool for screening activators or inhibitors of HDAC2.
  • Fluorimetric detection.

HDAC3 Immunoprecipitation (IP) & Activity Assay Kit

Catalog # K344-25 -25 assays

This kit provides an antibody-based method to specifically immunoprecipitate the HDAC3 complex and to measure its activity fluorometrically. HDAC3 is immunoprecipitated using HDAC3 antibody and captured on protein-A/G beads. This HDAC3 can deacetylate the HDAC3 substrate, which is cleaved by the developer to produce a fluorophore.

Key Features and Benefits of the Kit

  • Compatible with cell and nuclear extracts from human, mouse and rat.
  • Ideal tool for measuring activity of immunoprecipitated complex/purified enzyme.
  • Ideal tool for screening activators or inhibitors of HDAC3.
  • Fluorimetric detection.
