Astech Projects to Offer Automation Consultation at European Lab Automation
This year at European Lab
Automation (ELA), in Hamburg, Astech Projects will be providing consultation to
the Life Science sector. Astech's dedicated laboratory automation staff will be
available at ELA to advise on the considerations and processes required for
implementing a bespoke lab automation system. Established
to design, develop and deliver innovative bespoke automation solutions, Astech's
consultants and engineers are well positioned to automate any laboratory
workflow or process.
As R&D and manufacturing practices rapidly change and develop in all industries across the globe, customers are faced with new workflow or process challenges. They need to source automation which is both effective but also, in this present climate, very cost efficient. The team at Astech acknowledge the need to find new and innovative solutions for each individual set up.
Anthony Moran, Sales & Marketing Director, Astech Projects, comments, "We find that some people are just unsure as to how their particular process can be automated and are sometimes reluctant to talk to people about it as they assume there isn't an affordable solution" he continued, "We work across many areas, for example: pharma, medical devices, petrochem and healthcare sectors and can pull from our experience and expertise to devise new solutions. Our customers are often surprised by the new ideas we can present and develop for them."
In a continual push to improve the cost-effectiveness of their automation solutions, Astech have been at the forefront of the cross-fertilisation of technologies across different industry sectors, such as utilising robotic manipulators from the automotive sector in the pharmaceutical environment. The improved reliability, flexibility and relative low cost means robots are being used in more and more applications in the pharmaceutical industry. As such Astech is the ideal partner to integrate such robotics as part of a bespoke lab automation platform that can perform liquid and/or powder handling, vialling, weighing, mixing, etc.
