With effect from 01.10.2015 Köttermann GmbH & Co. KG, the world market leader in laboratory furniture made of steel, has acquired the IP rights to the Mach-Aire range of high quality Fume Cupboards and LEV's (local exhaust ventilation), which have been widely utilized in laboratories in the pharmaceutical, biotech and university sectors.

With the acquisition Köttermann is gaining a recognized brand in the UK and Ireland sales regions, which Köttermann will manufacture at its German facility. The Group’s UK subsidiary Köttermann Ltd will immediately commence the marketing, sales and installation of the Mach-Aire Fume Cupboards and LEV’s in the UK & Ireland, alongside and complementing the existing Köttermann products and services. This is an important milestone in the growth strategy of the German manufacturer Köttermann, who employs more than 280 people worldwide and who is an innovation leader in many fields.
