Whitehouse Scientific Helps Celebrate 50th Anniversary of the Filtration Society
As an established and major sponsor of the Filtration Society’s annual international conference and exhibition, Whitehouse Scientific is proud to be helping the Society celebrate its 50th anniversary at this year’s event.
The Filtration Society 50th Anniversary Conference will take place on 13-14 November 2014 at the Riverside Innovation Centre, Chester, UK. With a confirmed line up of international speakers drawn from industry and academia, as well as a well-supported trade exhibition, the organisers are expecting to welcome conference participants from around the world.
The Filtration Society was formed in London in 1964 and has the objectives of technology transfer of existing filtration and separation technologies and promoting research and development into new areas. The organization advances and disseminates knowledge in the design and use of filtration and separation techniques in industry, commerce and other walks of life, and has strong links with both industry and academia. The official journal of the Society, FILTRATION, has become the foremost international technical publication of its kind and is a valued reference for scientists and engineers.
Dr Graham Rideal, CEO of Whitehouse Scientific and science correspondent for The Filtration Society, said, “Whitehouse Scientific is very proud and honoured to be a part of this landmark celebration for the Filtration Society. I am greatly looking forward to the anniversary conference, where we will not only celebrate the society’s history and achievements, but also look to what the future holds in this diverse and important field.”
Speakers at the two day event will cover topics ranging from ‘Filtration and dewatering in wastewater treatment’ to ‘Theoretical analysis of pore size in fibrous materials’ and ‘Filtration in future bio-refineries’.
Attendance at Filtration Society meetings is open to all -members, non-members, UK and non-UK delegates.
