Waters delivers comprehensive sets enabling more efficient, reliable clinical diagnostic assays for endocrinology and other steroid analysis applications

Waters launched two new MassTrak™ Steroid Serum (IVD) Sets designed to provide clinical diagnostic laboratories with reagents and standards needed for laboratory developed tests (LDTs) for the measurement of steroid hormones in serum. These sets expand Waters comprehensive offering of reagents to help support clinical diagnostics.

These sets contain all standards needed for developing the steroid LDTs, including calibrators, quality controls, internal standards, and optimization mix, saving laboratories critical time and resources when preparing these tests.

MassTrak Steroid Serum Sets offer

• Metrologically traceable calibrators and controls that are traceable to both Certified Reference Material (CRM) and Reference Forward Models (RfM).
• High lot-to-lot manufacturing and value assignment consistency, enabling excellent Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) method performance in peer lab comparison​.
• Broad concentration ranges for all analytes, exceeding known reference ranges.
• Long on-shelf and in-use stability allowing usage over an extended period of time.
   

MassTrak Steroid Serum (IVD) Sets offer clinical diagnostic laboratories a solution for developing tests more efficiently and enable high accuracy measurements for all analytes, longer in-use stability, and excellent LC-MS method performance. With these sets, laboratories can accelerate development timelines for assays and ensure compliance with ISO 15189 and CLSI C62-A.

These sets are designed for use by large hospitals and independent clinical laboratories in developing and implementing fit for purpose steroid tests. These sets include analytes such as -

• Steroid Set 2: Testosterone, Androstenedione, DHEAS, 17OHP
  Steroid Set 3: Cortisol, Androstenedione, 11-Deoxycortisol, 21-Deoxycortisol, 17OHP

MassTrak Steroid Serum (IVD) Sets are now available in select EU countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Finland, Ireland, Iceland, Luxemburg, Liechtenstein, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland), United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand. Additionally, these sets will be available soon in Australia. For all other countries, MassTrak Steroid Serum Sets (RUO) are available globally for Research Use Only.
