Peakdale Molecular Continues to Strengthen its Team Paving the Way for Further Growth
UK-based drug discovery services provider Peakdale Molecular (part of the Concept Life Sciences Group) has strengthened its sales and marketing team through the addition of a Head of Sales and Marketing.
Gordon Woodrow, BSc in Applied Microbiology, has been appointed Head of Sales and Marketing and joins Peakdale with over 25 years of commercial experience having held a number of senior positions in companies offering scientific services to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Prior to joining Peakdale Gordon was responsible for business development and strategic alliances at Proteros Biostructures. Whilst there Gordon played a key role in Proteros’ growth. Before this Gordon was responsible for European Business development at Codexis Inc.
Commenting on his new role Gordon said “Contract services continue to play a greater and more diverse role in drug discovery and development; it is a very exciting time to be in the business. There has been a major shift in thinking with the pharmaceutical and biotech industries now really recognising the benefit of working collaboratively. Peakdale is an innovative and vibrant business which recognises these opportunities and operates in a nimble fashion. Paul Doyle Chief Operating Officer at Peakdale confirmed that the new appointment is part of an ongoing expansion programme for Peakdale: “Consolidation across the pharmaceutical industry means that supplier bases are forever changing and we have to work hard to continue to differentiate ourselves and maintain our positive reputation for offering a broad suite of high quality services.
