New UK Key Account Managers for Lab M

Microbiology company Lab M is expanding its UK sales team with the addition of two highly experienced personnel.

Sue Macauley-Patrick and David Matthews Sue Macauley-Patrick and David Matthews both join the company as Key Account Managers for the UK. They will be dedicated to supporting Lab M’s sustained growth in its home market as the company continues to expand both here and in export markets around the world.

Sue Macauley-Patrick is a microbiologist who specialised in fermentation for her PhD. After a decade in microbiology research and a number of years in industry, including sterile processing and vaccine production, Sue moved into sales in 2006.

David Matthews started his career in microbiology working at a government research institute. Since moving into sales and marketing he has worked for a number of multi-national companies, covering market sectors including academia, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals and utilities.

Welcoming the new team members, Lab M’s Managing Director Ian Morris looked forward the company’s further progression : “I am very pleased to welcome Sue and David. Their extensive sales experience and knowledge of microbiology laboratories and applications will significantly enhance the sales support and customer service that Lab M already provides to customers in the UK. Almost a year on from our move to new premises, we continue to reap the rewards of our investment, with our facility at Quest Park providing the platform for expanding our range and extending our product capabilities. These Key Account appointments for the UK come as the result of successful and continuing development as we prepare to introduce more new products during the course of this year.” 

Lab M offers a wide range of microbiological culture media and supplements. The company’s headquarters and manufacturing facilities are in Heywood, Lancashire, UK, with a network of distributors serving markets throughout the world.
