Professor Lord Robert Winston will give the opening Plenary Lecture at MICROSCIENCE 2010. This follows the success of Professor Sir David King's opening talk in 2008 when Plenary Lectures were introduced.
Lord Winston is Professor of Science and Society and Emeritus Professor of Fertility Studies at Imperial College. He is known within the science world for his ground-breaking work on stem cells, and to a wider audience through his television work and popular books that make science so accessible.
“We are all thrilled that Lord Winston will be giving the opening Plenary Lecture, " says Society President, Professor Mark Rainforth. "He has an outstanding reputation and presence, and his lecture will set the tone for what promises to be an outstanding three days of conference sessions. His presence also underlines the growing reputation that MICROSCIENCE has within the science community. It’s going to be a great event.”
Sir Robert's talk will be a "must see" for all delegates.
