General Purpose Pro Centrifuges for improved laboratory efficiency
The new line of Thermo Scientific™ General Purpose centrifuges are designed to offer improved performance, reliability, consistency and safety.
With fixed-angle rotor RCF (Relative Centrifugal Force) of over 25000 x g, and swinging buckets rotor RCF of over 7000 x g, even the toughest separations can be completed better and faster. Scientists working across biopharmaceutical, academic research and clinical diagnostic applications can choose between ventilated or refrigerated 4L (4 x 1000mL) models.
Main features
- Intuitive, state-of-the-art touchscreen interface for simple and fast programming
- Safe and easy rotor exchange with Thermo Scientific™ Auto-Lock™ technology
- Improved ergonomics through long-lasting Thermo Scientific™ Fiberlite™ Carbon Fiber Rotors
- Bio-containment with glove-friendly Thermo Scientific™ ClickSeal™ Biocontainment Lids
Touchscreen
The new centrifuges use a modern, intuitive touchscreen interface that has been extensively tested by customers to reduce learning and adjustment time. This means programming and monitoring your runs is faster and easier.
Rotor versatility
The new centrifuges offer maximum flexibility with a variety of 17 rotors available: 6 swinging buckets and 11 fixed angle. 7 of these rotors (1 swinging bucket and 6 fixed angle) are the lightweight Fiberlite™ Carbon Fiber Rotors. The choice of rotors with a RCF (relative centrifugal force) up to 25,830 x g and working volumes between 0.2-1000 mLmeans the new General Purpose Pro Centrifuges can address a variety of applications and sample sizes.
Fast rotor exchange
The easy to use Auto-Lock™ Rotor Exchange System makes it simple to seamlessly switch between the rotors. 16 of the 17 rotors offered are equipped with the added security of biocontainment certified¹ sample protection, which is either optional or integrated within the rotor.
Safe operation
Designed for simpler and safer operation, the centrifuges offer several ergonomic and safety features like improved reach-in during rotor installation for safer loading and unloading, the USB port on the front, and mechanical enhancements to avoid trapped fingers.
