Sunquest Information Systems®, a leading provider of pathology
information technology, today announced it has acquired the PowerPath® Anatomic
Pathology Laboratory Information System (LIS) business of Sweden-based Elekta

I am excited to welcome the PowerPath customers into the Sunquest family."
Dr. John Gilbertson, Associate Chief of Pathology and Director of Pathology Informatics at Massachusetts General Hospital, stated "The combination of Sunquest and PowerPath is very exciting. It will strengthen the pathology IT market and uniquely position Sunquest to produce highly advanced LIS solutions."
Chris Callahan, Vice President of Product Strategy at Sunquest, said, "This combination creates a strong market structure by combining the strengths of two successful teams under one pathology focused business."
