Seminar Announcement: Bridging the Gap Between Academia and Industry in Life Sciences

Tailored for small to medium innovative life science companies and universities, including technology transfer professionals, the one day seminar will explore ways in which academia and industry can work together more effectively. The programme includes the following sessions:
‘Blue skies – future innovations in healthcare’ presented by Dr Stephen Minger, Director of SLM Blue Skies Innovations and Senior Consultant in Cellular Sciences and Regenerative Medicine to GE Healthcare
‘Strategies for successful collaboration between universities and industry’ presented by Professor Barry Potter, Wellcome Trust Senior Investigator and Visiting Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at Oxford University
‘Critical steps for obtaining VC funding for spinout companies: What are the key drivers behind these investment decisions and what are the legal considerations before entering into partnerships, collaborations and/or licensing agreements?’ panel discussion featuring Chris Hollowood and Iraj Ali, both Partners at Syncona Partners LLP
The day will close with a panel discussion involving all speakers from the afternoon, and a Q&A session, followed by canapés, drinks and networking.
