Pittcon 2011 Announces Call for Papers
Pittsburgh, PA, May 19, 2010 -The Pittcon Program Committee is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for Pittcon 2011, which will be held March 13 - 18, 2011, at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, Georgia. For full consideration, abstracts must be received by August 13, 2010. Abstracts may only be submitted electronically via the Technical Program link at www.pittcon.org.
The Program Committee is soliciting abstracts of original, previously unpublished findings in all aspects of instrumental analysis including but not limited to chromatography, molecular and atomic spectroscopy, electrochemistry, mass spectrometry, hand-held/portable instruments and lab-on-a-chip technology. The Committee also seeks abstracts addressing novel applications of measurement science in areas such as nanotechnology, biomedicine, neurochemistry, genomics, forensics, informatics and quality assurance, as well as pharmaceutical, environmental, polymer and food sciences.
The review of abstracts will be completed by September 2010. Accepted papers will be grouped according to methodology or application as appropriate. The deadline to edit submissions is December 3, 2010.
The 2011 Program Chair Mitch Johnson commented, "Our 2011 Technical Program will again deliver top quality content in the most relevant fields of chemical analysis. The Program will be tightly coordinated with Conferee Networking and Short Courses to provide the highest impact for conferees." He added, "Pittcon provides attendees with content ranging from the theoretical underpinnings of chemical measurement science through experimental practice, providing a perfect complement to the largest scientific instrument exposition in the world."
