BioTek Instruments Expands World Headquarters
BioTek Instruments recently announced the expansion of its world headquarters in Winooski, Vermont, USA. The company added 8,000 square feet; effectively increasing the size of its Service department by 50% and housing a new applications laboratory. Additionally, existing space will be repurposed to manufacturing; providing space for the company’s new product lines introduced in the coming year and beyond.
Twice the size of the previous lab, BioTek’s new laboratory will be used to stay on the cutting edge of assay development by partnering with major assay developers. The new lab will also be used to develop unique applications for BioTek products and prove their efficacy in real-lab environments. This new facility includes cell culture capability for cell-based assays which represents 75% of the lab’s current activity. Additional space in the Service department includes a dedicated training room to be used for customer visits and to train service engineers from around the world.
