An Established Neurite Outgrowth Screen Using High Content Screening of Neurons

publication date: Jan 11, 2011
 |
author/source: BTX

BTX ECM 830 HT 96-Well system The BTX ECM 830 HT 96-Well system is used by researchers to accelerate discoveries in spinal cord injury research.

Neurons in the central nervous system lose their intrinsic capacity for axon regeneration as they mature.

It was published that high-content screening (HCS) offers an ideal way to identify genes, molecular pathways, and ultimately drugs that can promote the regeneration of axons in an extremely short time.

By combining electroporation in the BTX ECM 830 HT 96-well format, thousands of neurons can be tested for overexpression or gene knockdown.

Visit the BTX website at www.btxonline.com for more information on products, protocols or to view video tutorials for a variety of applications.

To learn more about this exciting new technology or other BTX electroporation or electrofusion products, contact BTX, 84 October Hill Road, Holliston, Massachusetts 01746 USA, Toll Free: 800-272-2775, Phone: 508-893-8999 ext 167, Fax: 508-429-5732
