Anachem is urging all accredited laboratories in the UK to embrace the new ISO 15189 standards for UKAS accreditation, believing that positive support for the new standards will only increase confidence in the results they produce by eliminating wherever possible the causes of variability in their protocols.
According to Craig Bush, Pipette Service Manager of Anachem, “ ISO 15189 emphasises the need for laboratories to implement calibration and testing regimes conforming to ISO 17025 for all pieces of equipment that may have a significant impact on results. Whether hand-held pipettes, pH meters, balances or complex PCR thermocyclers, laboratories must demonstrate that they adhere to defined quality assurance levels and...
GENALICE announced today it is partnering with deCODE Genetics to facilitate the large-scale testing of its unique DNA data processing software solution, GENALICE MAP.
After a first successful round of evaluating GENALICE MAP on speed and quality, both parties agreed to extend the evaluation to include up to 10,000 full human genomes. Population wide analysis is crucial if the potential of whole genome sequencing for medical application in patients with complex diseases is to be realized. Data processing at that level represents a major challenge, however, GENALICE’s unique ability to process a...
The CIPS Sustainability is a collaboration between the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, the University of West England (UWE) and PRGX.
