Location:
Durham, North Carolina

Biomolecular Screening: Advanced Applications Across Academia, Government and Industry is an SBS symposium addressing the topics of advanced technologies in small molecule and RNAi high-throughput screening with presentations from academic, government, and industry screening experts. The meeting will be offered in a two day, dual science track format. The scientific sessions and meeting format are intended to enhance cross- fertilization among academic, government, and industry scientists as well as between the small molecule and RNAi screening disciplines.

The first session of the symposium, "Screening Paradigms in Academia, Government & Industry", will be of interest to all participants and will feature overview talks from key players screening small molecules and/or RNAi.The remaining sessions will feature the parallel dual track format during which participants will be able to move between tracks as interested.

Track I will provide presentations and discussions on specific screening efforts and technologies
1. ADME & Toxicology Screening
2. Ion channels & 7TM screening
3. Signal transduction and intracellular target screening

Track II will feature sessions on RNAi screening and challenges and opportunities in academic drug discovery
1. RNAi Screening I
2. RNAi Screening II
3. Challenges and Opportunities in Academic Drug Discovery

Who should attend?
The symposium is intended for scientists from academia, government and industry. It will be especially relevant for those using small molecule or RNAi screening to identify new therapies or tools for target validation.
