The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) with the Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Investigators (APPI) has begun the rewarding task of developing the 2010 conference program.
The Call for Proposals resulted in nearly 300 submissions for workshops, concurrent sessions, panel discussions, and poster presentations. Nearly 25% of the submissions came from new speakers, more than 50% came from ACRP members, and 10% of the proposals were submitted by physicians.
Authors originate from 9 countries - Belgium, Canada, Germany, India, Netherlands, South Africa, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States (represented by 27 states).
The ACRP 2010 Global Conference Planning Committee, a diverse team of ACRP and APPI members representing different specialties and interests within the clinical research enterprise, will evaluate the proposals in the coming months. Authors will be notified in mid-October 2009.
The ACRP Global Conference & Exhibition, with the APPI Physicians Program, is designed for and attracts representatives of every job function of the clinical research team — from the front line clinical research coordinators (CRCs), clinical research associates (CRAs/Monitors), physician investigators, and pharmaceutical physicians to managers and senior executives — in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, hospital, academic medical center, and physician practice settings.
