Sub-Zero Launch of Eppendorf CryoCube Freezers sets New Levels of Cool
Eppendorf celebrated the launch of its new ultra low temperature freezer line, the CryoCube® F570, F570h, FC660, and FC660h, with an exclusive event at the London ICEBAR.
The launch was attended by over 40 representatives from all walks of science and industry and explored the topics of sample security, environmental responsibility and energy efficiency in the laboratory. The event also included a ‘-5?C experience’ within ICEBAR LONDON - the UK’s only hospitality venue with a permanent bar area made of ice.
During the event, attendees enjoyed a buffet lunch complete with liquid nitrogen ice cream. Martin Farley, Sustainable Labs Project Coordinator at Kings College London, presented on important considerations that affect cold storage management, from actual sample storage to the organisation of freezer spaces, as well as reiterating good freezer practices. He also discussed the type of policies that should be implemented to bring these good practice methods to all research spaces in the UK and beyond. He was followed by Stephen Dey, Marketing Manager at Eppendorf UK, who introduced the new CryoCube freezers and demonstrated how the whole range combines maximum sample security, improved functionality and industry-leading energy efficiency.
“We’re delighted to welcome such a distinguished group of guests to the UK launch of the CryoCube freezers.” said Stephen Dey. “We are all aware of how important energy efficiency is to the laboratory, and endeavour to achieve this to the best possible standards without any compromise to performance and sample security. New advancements decrease power consumption and make CryoCube freezers the most energy efficient hydrocarbon-based freezers of their capacity in the market.”
With more than sixty years developing instruments, consumables, and services for liquid-, sample-, and cell handling in laboratories worldwide, Eppendorf is pleased to welcome this latest product to its expanding portfolio.
