COVID-19 remains in the forefront for all of us. Pall Laboratory’s solutions continue to help researchers around the globe. Offering filtration solutions for applications such as:
- Waste water testing
- Jumbosep™ and Microsep™ centrifugal devices are being used to collect and concentrate organic particles in wastewater that are then tested for SARS-CoV2.
- Starting volumes of < 50 µL to 60 mL.
- Microsep centrifugal devices can rapidly concentrate 0.5-5mL samples volumes to 65-100uL and achieve 50X concentration and >90% recovery in just minutes.
- Jumobosep centrifugal filters typical concentrate 20-60mL samples to 5mL and also achieve 50X concentration and >90% recovery in just minutes.
- Viral RNA isolation
- AcroPrep™ nucleic acid binding filter plates are being used for high-throughput viral RNA extraction prior to RT-PCR.
- Nanosep® nucleic acid binding centrifugal devices are being used for low-throughput, lab-scale, RNA extraction.
- The AcroPrep Advance 96-well long tip filter plate and the Nanosep centrifugal device for nucleic acid binding (NAB) incorporate a silica-based quartz glass fiber media to allow for efficient binding of DNA and RNA, while providing smooth flow and rapid processing of samples. This media offers researchers the flexibility to purify plasmid DNA, genomic DNA or total RNA from a variety of starting materials. Pall Laboratories nucleic acid binding products provide flexibility in applications, reduced risk of cross contamination and smooth flow for sample processing.
- Sterile filtration of media, reagents and kits
- AcroPak™ capsules are being used for sterile filtration of media in kits
- AcroPak capsules come in 200 to 1500EFA sizes to typically filter 20 to 150L. They feature dual layer membranes to provide fast and efficient flow and filtration. They are sterilized by gamma irradiation and individually bagged
- AcroPak™ capsules are being used for sterile filtration of media in kits
- Viral protein concentration
- Minimate™ tangential flow filtration system is a laboratory scale TFF system and is being used to isolate and concentrate viral proteins.
- Able to concentrate up to 1 L of samples down to as little as 5 mL, The Minimate TFF system streamlines laboratory-scale concentration, desalting, and buffer exchange processes. It has a wide variety of different MWCO capsules which are reusable.
- Minimate™ tangential flow filtration system is a laboratory scale TFF system and is being used to isolate and concentrate viral proteins.
Pall Laboratory has a complete line-up of filtration products for all size workflow needs such as Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF), syringe filters, centrifugal devices, filter microplates, capsules, air/gas filters, vacuum devices, membrane discs, filter holders, and more.
