Agenda1
Analytical Services has been recognised for its approach to innovation and
business at a prestigious regional awards event.
Bradford Science Park-based Agenda1 won the Business or Technical Innovation Award at this year's Telegraph & Argus Bradford Means Business Awards 2012.
The team of experienced scientists employ leading analytical techniques to support the development of new products, and the ongoing support of existing products. As well as customers with novel materials, their clients include businesses developing new drug products and medical devices that are marketed worldwide.
The company, which also provides a novel ‘time share' service as well as scientific expertise to international clients, was launched by Ian Siragher and Simon Bristow after the closure of the site by the US owners of Bradford Particle Design Ltd.
They acquired the laboratories and have developed proprietary analytical techniques and added capabilities and services which are gaining wide recognition, developed with the concept of offering the labs for research, testing and product development, mainly for pharmaceutical and many other types of firm.
The company has worked on a wide range of projects, including testing solvents in a foil product, demonstrating to the Federal Drug Agency in the United States, the microbial barrier efficacy of a wound gel, and routine analysis of a bone substitute product for a major UK manufacturer.
Ian Siragher, managing director of Agenda1, received the award from Julian Rawel, from the University of Bradford School of Management, in front of influential business people from across the region, as well as Lord Mayor Councillor Dale Smith and new leader of Bradford Council, Councillor Dave Green.
Mr Siragher said: "We're delighted to win this award and to be recognised in Bradford in this way. The award is well deserved for the staff, who have all worked extremely hard over the last five years and we feel very proud of this achievement."
