Fisher Scientific Celebrates Success of its 21st Science World Event
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in
serving science, celebrates another successful Science World event this
week, its twenty-first. The event took place at Wembley Stadium on 19
April.
More than 900 delegates, including laboratory managers, technicians, purchasing managers and teaching staff from universities, attended the flagship event.
Eighty-three leading industry suppliers showcased hundreds of products, provided demonstrations and offered promotions in the exhibition area, drawing excellent attendee feedback. Among them was Richard Lane, a laboratory technician, who had travelled down from the University of Leicester to experience the show: "we all enjoyed the Fisher Scientific show at Wembley; it was not only good fun, but very enlightening looking at the new items on the way from the suppliers." On Twitter, attendee feedback on the event included "awesome" and a "great expo."
Visitors to Science World also enjoyed a seminar by Professor Brian Cox, a particle physicist who shared his ground-breaking insight into the Higgs Particle and the recent discoveries at the Large Hadron Collider. Prominent scientists Werner Gruber and Professor Hal Sosabowski also provided excellent live entertainment to the delight of the Science World audience. On a lighter side, the event also featured massage therapists, nail technicians and artists on hand to contribute to a memorable day.
"We are all delighted with the response to this year's Science World event," said Dr Chris Bridges, Director of Marketing, Fisher Scientific Europe. "Excellent customer experience is at the core of our products and services, and it is inspiring to see so many people turning out to celebrate the very best our industry has to offer."
