Porvair Filtration Group's gas filtration division, MF&T, has been awarded a series of contracts from customers for their newly extended square box filter range.

The square box filter range was originally designed to operate up to a pressure of 2 bar and to provide a high quality fabricated alternative to cast filter units.  The new contracts are for square box filters extended to operate efficiently at pressures of 4 and 7 bar.

Reflecting on the new orders - Andy Bevis (Porvair Special Projects Manager) commented 'Customers have chosen our fabricated square box filters because they offer an economic, high quality alternative to cast bodied filters'. He added 'Using square box filters is most beneficial when your process requires dissimilar inlet and outlet connection sizes. Our units can be provided with any combination of inlet and outlet diameters'.

Porvair Filtration Group's square box filters are available in a complete range from 2-inch NB connections up to 8-inch NB connections and in both 90 degree and 180 degree orientations.  The units are also available with pleated and plain wrap filter mesh as well as pleated synthetic media versions. Filtration ratings for the square box filters range from 200 micron down to 2 micron, all at 99.9% efficiency. All square box filter product designs have been determined through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as 3-dimensional modelling.
