New Publication about Applications of Attana's Cell-Based Technology for Characterization of Drug Molecules Interaction with Therapeutic Receptors
Johan Rockberg and Johan Nilvebrant at KTH in Stockholm have edited a new book "Epitope Mapping Protocols", which describes different methods to optimize antibodies properties to identify and interact with receptors in the body for pharmaceutical and diagnostic applications.
In the chapter "Label-Free Cell-Based Assay for Characterization of Biomolecules and Receptors" illustrates the use of Attana's cell based technology within those areas.
Thanks to antibodies good properties to selective interact with target molecules in the body and with few off-target interactions, they are used within therapeutic, diagnostic and research applications. During development of new antibodies different technologies are applied to optimize properties such as selectivity and interaction strength. The book describes the state of the art technologies and Attana was invited to write the chapter about cell-based interaction studies. The advantage of the Attana technology is that it mimics natural conditions well and thereby provide information about the dynamics and complexity of the interaction between the drug molecules and their receptors and thus is a valuable tool for selection and optimization of the right molecules.
