An innovative ultra-high purity desiccant air dryer is being launched worldwide by nano-porous systems limited. It will bring the quietest, most reliable and energy efficient compressed air dryer product to the market.
Gateshead-based nano-porous systems limited has been developing the product for over two years. The priorities of laboratory users have been put to the fore in its superb engineering and design.
The need for dependable operation within a laboratory is addressed with a unique filter / desiccant cartridge which incorporates water separation. This device eliminates the need for external filtration and problems associated with the mechanical failure of condensate float drains, which can ultimately cause failure of the dryer.
With the n-psl system, any condensate is collected within an internal quiet zone / chamber which is expelled every two minutes through timed solenoid waves.
The dryer design is highly energy efficient - integrated filtration and extremely good flow distribution across the desiccant beds have reduced pressure drop through the dryer by an impressive 60 per cent. It achieves lower running costs than other desiccant air dryers and meets the highest standards of purity.
The biggest concern for a laboratory manager considering the purchase of a dryer is that of noise. Historically, desiccant air dryers have not been designed with the laboratory environment in mind and have been noisy in operation - especially during the exhaust cycle. n-psl has designed the new dryer to be used in point of use applications such as the laboratory and has developed an advanced silencing solution, which is maintenance free and significantly reduced the noise levels.
The dryer is ready to run at any location worldwide. A neat switch mode power supply means it will operate to suit American, European and Japanese power supplies. Because of the emphasis on integral design solutions, maintenance time is reduced and installation is simple.
The new ultra-high purity desiccant air dryer ensures that when it is used near to the point of application any compressed air that comes into contact with people, animals, food, drinks, medical equipment or pharmaceutical products is dry, clean, safe and contaminant free.
This small dryer is the first product to be launched by nano-porous systems limited, a company specialising in the design and manufacture of industrial compressed air treatment products.
The company is led by Colin Billiet, formerly chief executive of the Domnick Hunter Group plc. He is recognised as a leading authority on filtration and compressed air treatments. The dryer's patented water separation, inlet and outlet filtration increase reliability significantly. The elegant silver and black dryer has an easy to read text display screen to check each stage of operation and drying cycles. It is available in five sizes with flows between 3 and 24scfm and can be floor or wall mounted.
