We are pleased to announce that AP Technologies (APT) has been appointed UK and Ireland distributor for Vertilon Corporation.

AP TechnologiesAPT will be responsible for Vertilon's full range of PhotoniQ charge integrating multi-channel Data Acquisition Systems (DAQs), multi-channel photon counting systems, Sensor Interface Boards (SIBs) and accessories.

Martin Sharratt, Founder and Director of APT, commented: “I am very excited to add Vertilon’s DAQs to the APT product range – they will be of great interest to customers using our line of silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs) from SensL Technologies as well as allowing APT to support users of APDs and conventional PMTs.”

PhotoniQ DAQs set the standard for data acquisition of signals from SiPMs, PMTs and avalanche photodiodes, performing all of the required signal processing functions between the sensors and host PC in an off-the-shelf, easy to use solution.

Standard PhotoniQ DAQs are available in four formats - 2 to 8 channel, 32, 64 and 128 channel. Standard Sensor Interface Boards (SIBs) are also available - facilitating mounting of a wide range of SiPM & MPPC arrays, APD arrays and linear/2D multianode PMTs.

The flexibility of PhotoniQ DAQs allows them to be used in a wide range of applications such as confocal microscopy, PET, SPECT, particle physics, aerosol/bioaerosol fluorescence detection, flow cytometry & radiation detection.

A further major benefit of Vertilon's PhotoniQ range is that the technology is offered in both benchtop laboratory and stripped-down OEM configurations - allowing customers to develop systems in the lab and then integrate the technology into production systems.

APT distribute a wide range of optoelectronic components and sub-systems: UVC-NIR LEDs, laser diodes and laser systems; silicon photodiodes and photomultipliers; liquid crystal optical shutters; fibreoptic components; and photon counting systems. Applications are very broad and APT is actively engaged with customers operating in the industrial, scientific, military, medical and hazard/threat detection markets.

Sharratt added: “In all of APT’s engagements with customers and suppliers the objective is to add value by providing a responsive and intelligent service, communicating professionally and offering strong technical advice and support whether for standard products or custom solutions.”
