UniCen centrifuge from Herolab

The UniCen and UniCen MR centrifuges from Herolab are the ideal choice for small volume samples use.

These microprocessor controlled models have been especially designed for tubes, bottles, microtiter plates, microliter tubes and tissue-culture tubes. The maximum capacity of the UniCen is 4 x 200ml. Designed and built by Herolab in Germany, these products are of the highest standard. Naturally, they are built with safety in mind and therefore have many features designed to make them safe and easy to use. Features such as over-speed detection, imbalance detection and emergency lid-lock release mechanisms ensure the models conform to all safety requirements. The stainless steel chamber which has an additional inner guard ring is robust and will give years of untroubled service.

With all Herolab centrifuges there is a wide choice of rotors. With the UniCen range this is no exception and so you can chose from thirteen angle rotors, three swing-out rotors and a micro-hematocrit rotor. Speed can be set between 500 rpm and 18,000 rpm /24,000 rpm. There are nine acceleration and deceleration ramps available.

An easy to read LCD display indicates both current and pre-set values of speed/g-force, time and temperature in the case of the UniCen MR which is refrigerated.

The UniCen MR has all the features of the UniCen but with the added advantage of being refrigerated.

Says Herolab: “Over the past 36 years we have continually improved our whole range of centrifuges to give our customers the very best in terms of performance, quality and life expectancy. Our large customer base is testament to our achievement to meet these goals”
