Snap Tube® from Micronic Europe BV is a proven mechanism that enables sample storage tubes to be securely locked into storage racks.
Operating Snap Tube is both fast and simple. Just by applying downward pressure, Snap Tube securely locks sample storage tubes into your Micronic storage rack. To unlock, simply apply a gentle upward pressure, now the tubes are free again to be handled by an automated tube picking system. Available on all new Micronic Roborack®, StaboRack® and Loborack® storage racks, Snap Tube ensures samples in non coded, alphanumeric and 2D coded tubes are kept secure during transport or storage.
The Micronic storage rack range, developed in conjunction with several leading automation companies, is based upon the globally recognised ANSI/SBS-1 (2004) Footprint Dimensions, as registered and designated by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Accommodating 96 individual tubes in the industry standard configuration Micronic racks are fully compatible with all commercial automated sample handling and storage systems enabling significant gains in productivity to be routinely achieved. Manufactured under class 7 (clean room 10,000) conditions Micronic racks are robust and absolutely consistent rack-to-rack - essential prerequisites for trouble-free automation. Micronic racks are available sterile, RNase/DNase free and with custom specific barcodes to enable automated tracking.
Dedicated to the design and production of innovative sample storage tubes, accessories and instruments over the last 25 years, Micronic is uniquely able to offer laboratories the expert advice to help them safeguard one of its most valuable assets - its samples.
