The new BiobasedWorld trade show extends the horizon of the DECHEMA event portfolio to the bioeconomy. Dr. Thomas Scheuring, CEO of DECHEMA Ausstellungs-GmbH, has announced that BiobasedWorld will be held on February 15th -16th, 2017 at the Cologne exhibition grounds. “The bioeconomy is growing at a rapid pace, but up to now the industry has not ventured beyond small, highly specialized events. BiobasedWorld is the first trade show which will showcase the entire spectrum of bio-based products and process technologies,” explained Scheuring. “The bioeconomy is inherently knowledge based, so a congress program, which gives leading experts the opportunity to share information, must necessarily be an integral part of the event.”
